Ingredients

Sauce:

  •  cup soy sauce
  •  cup rice vinegar
  •  cup chicken stock or water
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic minced or powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1-3 tsp sesame oil

Other:

  • 10 oz chicken breast cut into small cubes
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp warm water
  • 1 Lotus Foods Organic White Jasmine + Forbidden Rice® Blend Heat & Eat Pouch

Garnish (optional):

  • 1 tbs sesame seeds
  • 2 scallion stalks chopped

    Combine and whisk sauce ingredients together.

    In a non-stick pan, sauté chicken over a medium-high heat until almost cooked (~3-5 mins).

    Add sauce and cornstarch mixture to the chicken and cook over a high heat for 10 mins, stirring occasionally as the sauce thickens. Lower to a medium heat and continue to cook until sauce is sticky (up to 10 mins), adding more cornstarch mixture if needed.

    Prepare rice per directions on package.

    Serve chicken and sauce over rice.

    Sprinkle with sesame seeds and/or scallions (optional).
