  • 7ย oz/200g extra-firm tofu
  • ยฝย tbspย sesame oil
  • โ…“ย cupย yellow onionย finely diced

  • 2ย clovesย garlicย minced
  • 1ย tspย gingerย finely chopped
  • ยผย tspย smoked paprika
  • ยผย tspย ground turmeric
  • ยฝย tspย chili flakesย optional

  • 2ย tbspย tamari or soy sauceย to taste

Organic Brown Jasmine Rice Heat & Eat Pouch

    Place the tofu in a bowl and use a potato masher, fork or your fingers to crumble into smaller bits. Set aside.

    Place a sautรฉ pan over a medium-high heat. Add the sesame oil. When hot, add the onion, carrot, garlic and ginger and cook, stirring frequently, for 3-5 mins, until the onion has softened.

    Add the smoked paprika, turmeric, chili flakes (if using), rice, water and tamari to the pan. Stir until the spices are well combined (~1 min).

    Add the tofu and peas to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until the peas are thoroughly warmed through (~2-3 mins).

    Top with spring onions and serve immediately.
