When cooked, this long-grain rice is distinguished by its moist and tender, slightly sticky texture. Our Jasmine Rice is milled using a water process, leaving a thin layer of bran that is silken to the touch.

Jasmine Rice is the perfect accompaniment to all dishes, especially Asian cuisine where rice holds the place of honor. It also makes a particularly delicious rice pudding and rice salad.

We first met L.G Raun, a third generation rice farmer, in 1994. We immediately fell in love with the aroma and texture of this US-grown jasmine rice. Although we could have chosen to import any jasmine rice from Thailand, we chose this rice for its superior flavor profile, as well as for the fact that it was the first organic jasmine rice available. The Raun family farm is located in the fertile plains of the Texas Gulf Coast, a region whose microclimate mimics that of Thailand. It is the high heat, humidity, organic growing methods and genuine Thai seed stock that give this rice its deeply authentic jasmine aroma.
